Walaker Hotel can lay claim to being a genuine historic hotel, having been owned and run by the same family for nine generations. Without doubt one of the oldest hotels in Norway, Walakar hotel offers unique accommodation and fine cuisine in a beautiful fjord-side setting.

Perfect for exploring the Lustrafjorden and the surrounding region, Walaker Hotel is an ideal base for excursions of all kinds. Hiking, mountaineering, mountain biking and canoeing are just a few of the activities that can be practised, and a wide range of boat cruises are also available. The famous 12th century stave church at Ornes is just a short ferry ride across the fjord, and other nearby landmarks and attractions include the Jostedal glacier, the Flåm railway and the Nærøyfjorden.

Walaker Hotel's gastronomic restaurant creates fabulous menus based on the finest natural produce of this splendid region. Dishes are created from freshly caught fish and seafood from the fjord, venison from the mountains, berries from the fields, or farmhouse cheeses, all from local, small-scale producers. Breakfast consists of home-baked bread and home-made jam from the hotel's kitchen garden. Best Historic Double Room:
Located in the main building, these charming rooms offer views of the rose garden and the Lustra Fjord. The rooms feature beautiful antique furniture and historic wallpaper. One double bed, one sofa bed, or twin beds and one sofa bed. Room size 28 sq m.
