Oceana Beach & Wildlife Reserve boasts seven kilometres of pristine private beach, accessed by a two-minute transfer in an open game-viewer. Beach bags with towels and bottled water are provided, and the beach area has a deck and loungers for guests' use. There are game drives every afternoon, with special drives for young children in the mornings, and bush picnics or sundowners can be arranged on request. Guests wishing to explore further afield can enjoy an immense range of activities and experiences, carefully organised by Oceana Beach & Wildlife Reserve's expert staff. The three Lodge Suites combine comfort with an authentic ambience inspired by regional artefacts and animals. Each suite is individually appointed, in the theme of the animals guests might encounter while at the reserve. The suites form a part of the main lodge with access to the games room. Guests can draw back the curtains and step onto the private deck with beautiful views out into the unspoiled beaches of the Eastern Cape. Suite size 66 sq m.
Each of the four Ocean Suites radiates an atmosphere of a classic lodge. The thatched entrance leads through to a comfortable lounge area, synonymous of an era of understated elegance, and each opens onto a considerable and private wooden deck overlooking the ocean and the reserve, with a 180° view. With every luxury catered for, including a heated private Jacuzzi (plunge pool), the Private Ocean House is the perfect place to relax or entertain. How to get here:
From East London: Follow the R72 towards Port Alfred. ±130km along this road, you will pass the Rietriver turn off on your left, and after another 2 km you will find the Oceana turn-off on your left hand side.
From Port Elizabeth, via Alexandria / Kenton on Sea / Port Alfred: Follow the N2 towards Port Alfred / Grahamstown. Take the R72 via Alexandria / Kenton-on-Sea / Port Alfred. Once through Port Alfred, stay on the R72 towards East London. After about 8 km, you will find Oceana's turn-off on your right hand side.
From Port Elizabeth, via Grahamstown / Bathurst / Port Alfred: Follow the N2 towards Grahamstown. Take the R67 via Bathurst / Port Alfred. Once in Port Alfred, turn left onto the R72 towards East London, After about 8 km on this road, you will find Oceana's turn-off on your right hand side.
