The classic single rooms are compact rooms of 17 square metres with a limited view. These rooms are recommended for single occupancy but feature a double bed and all the luxury you would expect from a 4 red star hotel. The well-appointed bathrooms are fully tiled with a good selection of guest amenities. Swinfen roast coffee, Twinings teas and home-made shortbread make a welcome hospitality tray in all bedrooms.
Our classic double rooms range in size from 22 to 29 square metres but all share lovely views over the front parkland or rear gardens and deer park. They have a queen-size bed, comfortable seating and well-appointed bathrooms. As with all rooms, guests are provided with a luxurious 100% goose down duvet, Egyptian cotton sheets, complimentary mineral water, a hospitality tray, complimentary Wi-Fi, an iPod docking station, DVD player and satellite TV.

Gallery Rooms and Suites
The Goldsmith Room:
This is a beautiful room with a king-size bed overlooking the front of the hotel with views down the sweeping driveway and front lawns. At 29 square metres it is one of the smallest Gallery rooms but it has amazing character with beautifully carved decorative cabinets set either side of the ornamental fireplace.
The Lichfield Room:
The Lichfield Room is a spacious room of 36 square metres with far-reaching views across the formal gardens and deer park and across to Whittington. It has a comfortable seating area, a separate dressing room and a king-size bed.
The Frederick Room:
The Frederick Room is a grand room of 34 square metres overlooking the formal gardens and deer park. It is situated on the Minstrels Gallery and features high ceilings complete with chandelier, a separate dressing room and a king-size bed. The marble bathroom incorporates a bath and separate shower cubicle.
The Charles Kennedy Suite:
The Charles Kennedy Suite is a duplex arrangement with the bedroom and bathroom leading off from the lounge area. The lounge has a high ceiling and provides a comfortable and separate seating area. The bedroom, reached via a few steps is a compact room with a king-size bed with limited views. The well-appointed bathroom, which has far-reaching views across the grounds, features a bath and separate shower cubicle.
The Patience Swinfen Suite:
This is a beautifully-proportioned room overlooking the formal gardens with views across the deer park and down to the lake. This 36 square metre room has a king-size bed, a comfortable seating area and an ornate fireplace. The spacious bathroom, which has a high ceiling and lovely views across the grounds, is well-appointed with a bath and separate shower cubicle.
The Samuel Johnson Suite:
The Samuel Johnson Suite is a fabulous dual aspect room, with silk wall hangings, a separate dressing room and a triple fold away mirror hidden in the wall. The 65 square metre room includes a canopied king-size bed, dining table and a spacious seating area. The beautifully-appointed bathroom, accessed by another hidden door, features twin basins set in marble, a large jacuzzi bath and a separate shower cubicle.

How to get here: From London/the South via M1/M6: Leave the M1 at J19 and join the M6. After approximately 22 miles (35,4 km) you will see the signs for the M6 Toll road. Take the right hand lanes and follow the signs for North West M6 Toll road. Exit the M6 Toll road at Junction T4 (sign-posted A38 Burton/A5 Tamworth). After the toll booth you will arrive at the Weeford Roundabout, where you take the 2nd exit, sign-posted A38 Lichfield. Swinfen Hall Hotel is situated after half a mile (0,8 km) on the right-hand side, although you will need to carry on to the next roundabout (Swinfen roundabout) and come back on yourself as you cannot cross over the dual carriageway.
From Birmingham: Take the A38 North to Lichfield and continue until you reach Weeford roundabout, where the A5 intersects the A38. Continue along the A38 sign-posted Lichfield. Swinfen Hall Hotel is situated after half a mile (0,8 km), on the right-hand side.
