Description: Baros MaldivesA rare privilege: Baros Maldives is a resort that offers understated elegance with a sense of authenticity, value and local culture. A lush, tropical island set in the shimmering waters of a shallow lagoon in the North Male Atoll, ringed by a reef alive with marine life. The island of Baros Maldives is accessed by speed boat within 25 minutes. The essence of the Maldives is defined at Baros Maldives.
Stay in elegance in an individual Villa created from timber and sandstone, poised and peaceful over a translucent lagoon, or nestled discreetly among exotic blooms by the beach. Revel in romantic privacy; blissful seclusion where noise and others, exasperation and hassles, are a world away.
A 100% Maldivian company, the Maldivian architect, Mohamed Shafeeq (AKA Sappé), created a perfect combination of outside and inside life. The Maldives is all about outdoor living - The Welcome pavilion, the restaurants and bars are all open areas. The Villas have large windows for natural daylight and have access to the natural surroundings. The Lighthouse is a landmark, a new dimension to view from and a structure that can be seen from far in the atoll. The Villas inspire romance, intimacy and cosiness.

Dress Code:The dress code on the island is casual throughout the day, and island chic in the evenings. Swimwear should be covered when visiting the Restaurants and Bars. Out of respect for local customs, guests are requested to refrain from topless sunbathing and when visiting local islands or Male are asked to cover their shoulders and thighs.
Environmental Concern: There are strict regulations governing the disposal of rubbish, waste water, water desalination and recycling policies. Take any discarded batteries home with you, as Maldives currently lacks the facilities to dispose of these in an environmentally friendly manner. Help protect all marine creatures, and refrain from buying souvenirs of any kind made from any part of an animal. Do not press any aquatic animals or plants, and never remove anything from the sea.
