Description: Palmiet Valley

Palmiet Valley Estate nestles at the foot of the Drakenstein Mountains near Paarl. Built in 1692, this historic homestead has been carefully restored to its former Cape Dutch glory. No expense has been spared in restoring the traditional historic thatched Manor House, originally built by Huguenot settlers in 1692, to its former glory. The finest antiques from all over the world have been selected to transport guests back through the centuries and different époques of art. It goes without saying that each room has its own luxurious bathroom, a comfort not enjoyed by the original owners!

The spacious bedrooms are all en-suite and individually furnished with valuable antiques, flowers and port wine.
The cottages are ideal for families and consist of bedroom, lounge, kitchen, and terrace.

The estate is ideal for weddings with its own chapel and catering facilities for weddings between two to eighty guests.

All rooms are also equipped with a CD player and a TV upon request. Some rooms are equipped with air conditioning and climate control.

Transportation to the airport or golf courses is provided upon request at additional cost. The large secluded pool is surrounded by beautiful gardens. There is a jogging path, wine tastings, strolls through the vineyards as well as other outdoor activities in the area. The restaurant is for hotel guests exclusively and specialises in fine cuisine. Diving is half an hour away, squash courts are available 4 km. away.
