		Chateau de Massillan is a small luxury hotel and restaurant situated 14 km. north from Orange, surrounded by the world famous Côtes du Rhône vineyards. In 1550 Chateau de Massillan was owned by Diane de Poitiers the famous lover of King Henry the second. In 2002 it was transformed into a hotel by the present owners. The interiors are designed by Babylon Design (London) and are a sophisticated combination of modern and antique. The restaurant serves French cuisine with international influences from Head- Chef Marc Koenemund. The powerful looking entrance to the Chateau is contrasted by the soft Italian style courtyard where food is served in the summer. The atmosphere is luxurious, relaxed and inspirational. The Chateau is surrounded by 24 acres of land including a lake, an ancient vegetable garden, pine wood and fields. The 14 metre long swimming pool is situated inside the large courtyard well protected from mistral winds.

Each room is individually designed but they always subtly combine modern and antique lighting and furniture. All of the rooms have views to the park or courtyard. The luxury rooms all have a sofa or chaise lounge and some rooms have a terrace which opens to the courtyard.
The bathrooms have a soft minimal style, using very large mirrors, specially designed solid limestone sinks, limestone tiles and shower trays. In the larger bathrooms traditional cast iron baths are used.

Marseille airport is 140 km. away. New Boutique, located in the courtyard, will delight all lovers of both one off fashions and decorative accessories. Chateau de Massillan is open 7 days a week, for lunch and dinner. Visit the Restaurant at Chateau de Massillan for a truly gastronomic experience. The evening menus, prepared by Chef Jonathan Chiri using the freshest of local ingredients are available to guests and visitors from 30 euros per person in our relaxing courtyard or in the Orangerie.
