Description: Umaid Bhawan PalaceThe Umaid Bhawan Palace enjoys a unique location, and is part of one of the largest private residences in the world. Built in the final years of the Raj, it was finished in 1944, and is the last great palace to be built in India. Perched high above the desert capital of Jodhpur, this luxury heritage property offers exclusive accommodation in an unsurpassed setting.
The Umaid Bhawan Palace offers guests all comforts and amenities in its majestic golden-hued sandstone building and magnificent scenic gardens. Just some of its facilities include an indoor and outdoor pool, a billiards room, squash courts, tennis courts and a museum with a vintage car collection. Guests can enjoy a range of treatments and massages in the Taj Jiva Spa, and yoga classes are organised every day. The hotel has several exclusive restaurants, and The Pillars is a gourmet classic, offering the finest Rajasthani cuisine.
Ideal for exploring the magnificent "Blue City", many of Jodhpur's most famous sights and attractions are within easy reach of the Umaid Bhawan Palace. The imposing Mehrangarh Fort should not be missed, and other essential visits include the Jaswant Thada mausoleum and the old city itself.

Embellished with Art Deco interiors and equipped with modern conveniences, Palace rooms are a refreshing blend of old and new. Current amenities comfortably co-exist with original décor from princely times.
These lavish yet tastefully-appointed Historical Suites are the erstwhile residences of visiting Royalty. Each suite has its own unique theme and all have a different colour scheme from classy maroons to gold and sage greens.

Grand Royal Suites:
The Grand Royal Suites, designed in Art Deco style, were once reserved for visiting royalty. Each suite is different, with subtle underlying and unique themes of a favourite colour or princely passion.
A much earthier and certainly a more masculine mood prevails in Maharaja Umaid Singh's suite just across the crystal fountain separating his suite from his Maharani's.
Flaming torch lamps in chrome, plush Ruhlmann sofas in faux leopard skin, the delightful mirrored bar in the drawing room and the original artefacts that still adorn the shelves make this an incredibly handsome suite.
Suite size 344 sq m. Exotic painted murals by self-exiled artist Stefan Norblin. Chrome flaming torches. Plush Ruhlmann sofas. Mirrored bar. Original artefacts.
Originally designed for and indeed once graced by the beautiful and charismatic Maharani Badan Kanwan, the Maharani Suite is rather appropriately dominated by a Stefan Norblin mural of the Goddess Kali etched on shining black glass.
Designed in pinks, blacks, chrome and mirrors, this suite is indeed worthy of the queen for whom it was built, and all of the original Art Deco décor has been retained. The suite includes spacious drawing and dining rooms with an attached kitchenette, an enormous, private terrace with a spectacular view of the palace gardens and the Mehrangarh Fort, a dressing room with a wardrobe only a queen could find small, and the piece de resistance - a bath, also designed by Norblin, carved out of a single piece of pink Italian marble.
