Boutique hotel owner Sylvie de Lattre knew exactly what she was aiming for when she revamped Hotel Therese: a chic, contemporary and affordable hotel right in the centre of Paris. She succeeded. Here is a hotel in France that offers understated chic in an 18th Century townhouse within easy walking distance of The Louvre, the Palais Royal, the Jardin des Tuileries, the Opéra, rue Saint Honoré and Place Vendôme... and all at reasonable prices.

Hotel Therese contains 43 lovely rooms, an elegant drawing room, a stunning vaulted breakfast room and a seminar room. Original watercolours and limited edition prints sourced from nearby flea markets decorate the walls, while occasional exotic touches have been precisely placed to surprise and delight guests.

Hotel Therese offers four room sizes, Club, Deluxe, Tradition or Classic, in eight different colour schemes from warm reds and browns to calm greens and blues. Some of the rooms are not vast, but they make up in style what they lack in space. The decor is characterised by luxury fabrics, exclusive designer furniture and lighting by Philippe Starck giving an overall effect of classic contemporary chic with a peaceful atmosphere.
