Founded as a hotel in 1799, the establishment still bears the name suggested at the tim by Napoleon Bonaparte: Hôtel d'Europe. There are two suite categories: the Junior Suites with a superb terrace overlooking the city of Avignon, and the Suites with an unobstructed view of the Palais des Papes.
