Nature in its purest form is the great attraction of this North American country: virgin boreal forests, lakes, and glaciers. But its cosmopolitan cities are also steeped in history.
In Canada, the second largest country in the world, the natural landscapes take on majestic appearances. The millennial Athabasca glacier is the largest in Canada and located on the scenic route of the Icefields Parkway. The huge Lake Superior is shared with the USA. The incredible Lake Louise, a glacier lake, is surrounded by peaks that reach 4,000 meters in altitude. The imposing Rocky Mountains are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as are many of the country's natural parks, of which there are some twenty and more.

Although the capital is Ottawa, Toronto is the most populated metropolis in the country. Ottawa stands out for its museum activity and the splendid 19th century Parliament library. In Toronto, the vitality of its diverse neighborhoods testifies to Canada's multicultural DNA. To get a 360º panoramic view go up to the CN Tower. In the province of Ontario we find the legendary Niagara Falls. A wine route, to taste excellent local wines, is yet another of its attractions.
Quebec, capital of the French-speaking province of the same name, exudes the air of an 18th-century French city, with picturesque neighborhoods like Petit Champlain. In Montreal, seeing the Notre-Dame Basilica and taking a walk through the Old Port are a must. |
