Located in the heart of the Medina of Fez, Riad Le Calife is set in a one of the city's historic palaces or ''Riads,'' which in 2008 was converted into a charming small hotel. Offering luxurious boutique-style accommodation in just four rooms and three suites, Riad Le Calife is a unique combination of tradition and modernity in an atmosphere of authentic Moroccan hospitality.

Riad Le Calife's central location means that it is ideal for exploring the historic Medina of Fez, regarded by many as the most outstanding in the country. Every stay at the riad includes a guided visit through the maze-like streets of the old city, where guests will discover exceptional monuments, impressive bazaars, and a plethora of trades and crafts. Riad Le Calife's expert staff can also arrange trips to the most important sights in the Fez region, such as the Roman city of Volubilis, the imperial city of Meknes, Moulay Idriss, or the Azrou forest with its ancient cedars.

Riad Le Calife boasts two terraces, along with three lounge areas overlooking the patio: a bar, a dining room and a reception-lounge-library. Delicious Moroccan cuisine can be enjoyed both indoors and out, and a range of family menus can be enjoyed every day, including couscous, home made pastilla, lamb mechoui or one of the many tajines. Traditional Moroccan cooking lessons are also arranged on a regular basis.

Topaze Room:
The blue colours of the Topaz Room are in perfect alliance with the cedar ceiling beams. This neatly decorated room offers a wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. One large double bed. Room size 28 sq m.
Opaline Room:
The sobriety of the parma tones blends wonderfully with the traditional materials used in the Opaline Room. This room is endowed with a living room corner, a wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom with shower. One large double bed. Room size 32 sq m.
Amethyst Room:
The purple tones of the Amethyst Room blend well with the cedar ceiling beams to create an exceptional atmosphere. This refined room is comprised of a living room corner, a desk, a wardrobe, and an en-suite bathroom equipped with a shower. One large double bed. Room size 38 sq m.
Jewel Suite:
The Jewel Suite is one of the gems of Riad Le Calife. The subtle mixture of woodwork and intense red shades gives this suite a luxurious and comfortable character. This ample suite has a living-room corner, a wardrobe, and an en-suite bathroom equipped with a shower and a tub. One large double bed. Room size 46 sq m.
Emerald Suite:
The Emerald Suite is one of the marvels of Riad Le Calife. The green nuances of this suite are in perfect harmony with the walls of ancient bricks, zellig es (mosaic), stuccoes (sculpted plaster) and cedar ceiling beams, and confer on this highly refined suite a pleasant atmosphere. This vast suite offers a living room space, a wardrobe, and an en-suite bathroom with a spacious shower. One large double bed. Room size 46 sq m.
Diamond Suite:
The Diamond Suite is the jewel of the Riad Le Calife. Its magnificent original zouak ceiling (painting on wood) was entirely restored in the most rigorous respect for tradition. The marriage between the original zelliges (mosaic), stuccoes (sculpted plaster) and red shades, gives the Diamond suite additional prestige. This very spacious suite offers a comfortable living room space, a desk, a vanity dresser, a wardrobe, and an en-suite bathroom equipped with a shower and a tub. One large double bed. Room size 62 sq m.


Beds: Only double beds (queen size for rooms and king size for suites). No room with two single beds. No possibility of adding extra beds. No children under 8 years old.
