Perfectly placed for exploring the beautiful Cotswolds, guests at Barnsley House Hotel can enjoy an immense range of activities, both on-site and close by the hotel. These range from tennis to hot-air ballooning, and from horse riding to fishing and clay-pigeon shooting. Bicycles are available for guests, free of charge, and Barnsley House organises unique driving tours with Michael Neilan, an expert on the region. After a busy day's sightseeing, guests can unwind at the Spa, with five treatment rooms, a sauna, a relaxation room and a heated outdoor hydrotherapy pool.
Barnsley House Hotel's The Potager restaurant serves delicious, fresh and seasonal food all day. With its very own kitchen garden, all vegetables, salads and herbs are grown and picked on site wherever possible. Offering a very tempting seasonal menu throughout the year, cuisine is of excellent quality and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Informal dining is also available at The Village Pub, just across the street from Barnsley House.

Warm and inviting, Bedrooms 3, 5 and 12 are Barnsley House's superior rooms. 3 and 5 in the main house overlook the front lawn and landscaped garden, while 12 is a ground floor bedroom located in the stableyard, overlooking the water garden. One king size bed. Room size approximately 27 sq m.
Elegant and spacious, bedrooms 4 and 9 are Barnsley House's Junior Suites. They are as spacious as they are luxurious, with separate sitting rooms - the perfect place to kick off shoes, stretch out and unwind.
Bedrooms 14, 15 and 16 are the Stableyard Rooms - 14 and 16 are split over two floors with spiral staircases winding towards their large luxurious bathrooms, whilst 15 has also been designed across two floors but with the bedroom upstairs and a Turkish bathtub on the ground floor - think long, lazy, bubble-soaked relaxation.
Bedrooms 17, 18 and 19 are spacious suites arranged across two levels. All have large gallery lounges, showers designed as walk-in wet rooms, and while 17 and 18 have roll top baths at the end of the bed, room 19 has a jacuzzi in the living room.
Deluxe Garden Rooms:
Bedrooms 1, 2 and 6 are the Deluxe Garden Rooms at Barnsley House. Situated in the main house, with striking views over the famous Barnsley House garden, each is spacious with a comfortable lounge area and an open plan bedroom with en-suite contemporary bathrooms complete with double sinks, bathtubs and separate walk-in showers.
The Davina Suite:
The gorgeous Davina Suite (Room 8) is a first floor Garden Suite complete with a large sumptuous corner sofa as well as a dining table in the lounge. With original exposed wood beams and oak flooring throughout, there is also a plasma TV, a dreamy roll top bathtub in the bedroom and a bathroom that doubles as a wet room.
The Potting Shed:
The Potting Shed (Room 10) is tucked away in the hotel?s magical landscaped gardens and provides a great retreat for the night. Complete with its own private garden, a cosy wood-burning stove and a roll top bath, it offers cosy, secluded comfort.
The Rosemary Verey Suite:
The Rosemary Verey Suite (Room 7) is a Deluxe Garden Suite with a private courtyard and its own outside table and chairs to make the most of the afternoon sunshine. The courtyard leads to a conservatory and 'The Grotto', a striking stone waterfall draped with plants. Guests can relax in a large bathtub big enough for two before slipping into the luxurious four poster bed. The bathroom also offers a separate walk-in shower and double sinks.
The Secret Garden Suite:
Overlooking a private garden, this secluded suite even offers private access. The Secret Garden (Room 11) is a Deluxe Garden Suite that is bright and generous in size, featuring a large glass façade with views overlooking a decked garden area. With a dining table, a capacious egg-shaped bath in the bedroom and a bathroom with a double walk-in shower and double sinks, guests will be fully equipped for a luxurious retreat from the stresses of everyday life.

How to get here: Directions from London: Exit at junction 8 on the M40 (signposted Oxford and Cheltenham) and follow the A40 towards Cheltenham. One mile past the Burford roundabout, turn left onto the B4425 (signposted Bibury). After 11,5 miles (18,5 km), you will enter the village of Barnsley.
Directions from M4 West: Exit at junction 18 on the M4. Follow the A429 (signposted Cirencester then Stow), then follow the B4425 (signposted Bibury). After two miles (3,2 km), you will enter the village of Barnsley. The hotel is on the right hand side.
Directions from M4 East: Exit at junction 15 on the M4 and follow A417 to Cirencester. At roundabout, take the 3rd exit signposted Bibury B4425. After two miles (3,2 km), you will enter the village of Barnsley. The hotel is on the right hand side.
