This is the largest of the seven Ionian islands in Greece. Its mountainous landscape extends to 48 km long and 30 km wide. The hypnotic turquoise and pristine waters lapping the white sand of the beach of Myrtos, have earned it the right to be considered one of the most beautiful coves in all of Greece. Embedded between mountains that reach almost 1,000 m, its view is impressive. To the north of the island, Fiskardo stands an emblematic fishing village: the colorful Venetian heritage houses add up to a lively port where you can enjoy the delights of local cuisine. Sami is the point of arrival and departure of the ferries that connect the island with Greece and Italy.

To enjoy spectacular views, climb Mount Enos, 1628 m high. It is the highest mountain in the entire Ionian archipelago and is part of the protected Kefalonia National Park.
