The seasonally changing menus are based on the finest locally sourced, fresh farm produce, much of it from the hotel's own kitchen garden. Type of rooms: The Devonshire Arms Hotel & SpaNew WingWharfedale Rooms: Most of the ground & first floor bedrooms hold king size beds (150 cm), some of which twin or can be left as a super-king. Many rooms enjoy views looking over the Italian box garden whilst others look towards the landscaped garden/car park. The perfect choice of accommodation in the Yorkshire Dales. Nidderdale Rooms: Similar to Wharfedale rooms, these rooms have the nicest views in the hotel, looking out onto the river & hills. Some of our Yorkshire rooms have 150 cm beds, others have 180 cm beds which can be twinned. Suites: Herbert Royle and Lismore Castle. Each Suite has a 180 cm four poster bed, a large bathroom with a separate walk in shower and Spa bath, sitting room with extra cloakroom, plus a dressing room in Herbert Royle. Herbert Royle is named after the well known artist and has a collection of his paintings. Lismore Castle has a collection of photographs of Lismore Castle, the Irish home of the Duke of Devonshire. Both Suites are on the ground floor, stunning accommodation in Yorkshire. Old Wing Nidderdale Rooms: Similar to Wharfedale rooms, these rooms are special for having the most impressive views, looking out onto the river and hills. Rooms will either hold a 150 cm or 180 cm bed, both of which can be twinned as requested. Littondale Rooms: Located in the 18th century part of the house there is a range of four-poster bed, or double (150 cm) and super-king (180 cm) or twin rooms . These rooms are gently themed and are named after the local family connections. All rooms have the most wonderful comfortable beds, and come with all modern facilities. Bishopdale Rooms: Accommodation in the Yorkshire Dales is a treat and even more so when staying in one of these deluxe rooms in the original part of the house, with large four poster beds and lounge areas or super-king (180 cm) and twin rooms on the ground floor overlooking the box garden. Bathrooms are large and some have double hand wash basins. There is also a split level family room (Beamsley) with two bathrooms. The rooms are gently themed and named after local family connections. Additional facilities include Sky TV and digital channels. All rooms and suites feature: comfortable seating area; complimentary Wi-Fi; hospitality tray; Temple Spa toiletries; fluffy bathrobes; flat-screen TV; luxurious en-suite bathroom. How to get here: From M6: At junction 29 (just south of Preston) leave the M6 and take M65 east bound towards Burnley. At the end of the motorway follow A6068/A56 (sign-posted Keighley/Skipton). At the junction with A59 follow A59/A65 towards Harrogate. Bypass Skipton and come to the junction with the B6160. Take the 1st exit onto the B6160. The Devonshire Arms Country House Hotel is 230 metres on the right. From London and the M1: At junction 43 leave the M1 and take the M621 (signposted Leeds Centre). Leave at Junction 2 of M621 sign-posted Morley. At the roundabout take 3rd exit A643 (sign-posted Wetherby). Follow the A58M towards Leeds and turn left onto the A65 (sign-posted Ilkley and the airport). Travel past Ilkley and after 1,3 miles (2,1 km) turn right (sign-posted Bolton Abbey, Addingham) and then right again (sign-posted Bolton Abbey). After 1 mile, turn right at the T-junction. After 2,5 miles (4 kms), at the roundabout junction with the A59, take the second exit to continue ahead along the B6160. The Devonshire Arms Country House Hotel is 230 metres on the right.
