As its name might suggest, this unique property is located in a former detention centre, standing in the heart of the historic quarter of Roermond. After a thorough renovation and restoration, Het Arresthuis has been transformed into a luxury boutique hotel, and offers exclusive accommodation and fine cuisine in a striking fusion setting.

Perfectly situated for easy visits to this fascinating historic city, Het Arresthuis is just a short stroll from many of Roermond's most important landmarks, including its two emblematic religious buildings, the Munsterkerk and Saint Christopher's cathedral. Fascinating shops, cafés and restaurants abound in the surrounding streets, and Roermond station is less than half a kilometre away.

In keeping with the hotel's avant-garde design, Restaurant Damianz offers surprising menus created with freshly prepared seasonal produce, carefully paired with an excellent range of wines. Meals can be enjoyed in the dining room, or outdoors in the former prison yard. Other facilities include a fitness room and a sauna, and an elegant bar. Fascinating guided tours of the former prison can also be arranged, finishing up with a delicious cup of tea or coffee and a typical Limburg 'flan'.

Deluxe Cell:
The former prison recreation rooms have been transformed into Deluxe Cells. A Deluxe Cell has a double bed, desk, sitting area, safe, tea and coffee making facilities, mini-bar, flat-screen TV, telephone, rain shower, toilet, air conditioning, hair-dryer, slippers, dressing gowns, luxury bath products and free Wi-Fi. Room size 32 sq m.
The Jailer Suite:
The Jailer Suite gets its name from the old blue jailer's cap that was found during the renovations. This shade of blue has been used to decorate the suite.
The Jailer Suite has a king-size bed, desk, sitting area, Nespresso coffee and tea making facilities, mini bar, 2 flat-screen TVs, luxury rain shower, bath, separate toilet and an iPod docking station. Suite size 40 sq m.
The Judge Suite:
The Judge Suite is inspired by the painting of the judicial power of England above the desk. Shades of taupe, white and grey are the dominant colours in this magnificent suite. It also has a spacious bathroom, with a bath with massage jets and a luxury rain shower. A sitting area with a flat-screen TV and hearth will help ensure a very comfortable stay. The Judge Suite has a king-size bed, Nespresso coffee and tea making machines and an iPod docking station. Suite size 43 sq m.
The Lawyer Suite:
The Lawyer Suite was inspired by the black robes worn by lawyers in a court of law. Shades of black, white and grey form the colour scheme of this stylish suite. The Lawyer has an extra large rain shower. Guests can relax in one of the comfortable rocking chairs in front of the hearth and relax in style.
The Lawyer Suite has a king-size bed, flat-screen TV, desk, Nespresso coffee and tea making machines, mini-bar and an iPod docking station.

The Director Suite:
The Director Suite is situated in the former living quarters of the prison director and is the largest suite in the hotel.
This suite has a very spacious living area, with a flat-screen TV, sitting area and two sofas. The jacuzzi and luxury rain shower are located in the actual bedroom.
The Director Suite has a king-size bed, 2 flat-screen TVs, desk, Nespresso coffee and tea making machines and an iPod docking station.
