Bodrum Peninsula is found at the exact point where the Aegean and the Mediterranean seas meet. It has almost 200 kilometers of coastline with numerous beaches, many of them hidden coves surrounded by lush greenery and transparent waters. The peninsula also boasts 32 islands off its coast that are ideal for exploring by sail or motorboat.
Bodrum itself was founded in 1,000 BC as Halikar-nassos, one of the first Greek colonies in Asia. The ruins of the Mausoleum of Maussollos, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, can still be seen today. Always a busy port town, modern-day Bodrum is renowned for its shipbuilding and schooners.

The city is an excellent place from which to explore the beautiful coastline as hundreds of yachts dock there. Schooners in particular, old wooden sailboats with two or more masts that use fore-and-aft sails, are ideal for relaxing excursions of one to several days.
Other attractions in Bodrum include the colourful markets and the vibrant nightlife. Since the 1950s, Bodrum has also been a popular destination for artists and intellectuals. Our small luxury hotels are located both in Bodrum and along the coastline with select boutique hotels in the resort towns of Golturkbuku, Yalikavak and Torba. |
