Thoroughly renovated in 2014, this charming property offers luxurious boutique accommodation and award-winning cuisine in a beautiful rural setting.
Ideally placed for exploring the West Country, The Horn of Plenty is just a few minutes' drive from Dartmoor National Park, the beautiful market town of Tavistock, and the National Trust properties of Buckland Abbey and Cotehele. Standing in five acres of beautiful gardens and orchards, the house offers countless outdoor activities in close proximity, including hiking and rambling, mountain biking and canoeing.
The Horn of Plenty's restaurant is the proud holder of two AA Rosettes, and has been mentioned in the Michelin Guide. Menus feature British cuisine with a French flair, based on the finest produce the West Country has to offer - beef and lamb reared in South Devon, seasonal fruit and vegetables, and freshly caught fish and seafood from the local fishing fleets. Meals can be enjoyed in the elegant dining room, or outdoors on the terrace, with sweeping views of the Tamar valley.

A very pleasant, comfortable room in the Main House with an easterly aspect. The en-suite bathroom comes with a bath/shower combination. Occupancy: up to 2 adults and 1 child.
Comfy located in The Coach House:
These ser lovely modern, medium sized rooms, with balconies overlooking the garden and en-suite bathrooms with bath/shower combination. Occupancy: up to 2 adults and 1 child.
Deluxe located in The Main House:
A lovely spacious room in the Main House overlooking the fountain, with uninterrupted country views. Decorated in a classic style but with a modern twist. En suite bathroom has a bath with shower over. Occupancy: up to 2 adults and 2 children. Dogs are not accepted in these rooms.
Deluxe located in The Coach House:
Good sized, modern rooms, most with balconies and a view over the walled garden or the Devon countryside. All have lovely en-suite bathrooms with bath and separate power showers. One room has disabled access. Selected rooms within this category are dog friendly. Please call for details and availability. Occupancy: up to 2 adults and 1 child.
Best located in The Coach House:
New for 2014, these large, stylish rooms have superb south-west facing balconies overlooking the walled garden and the Tamar valley beyond, and are destined to become favourites with guests. The en-suite bathrooms are generously sized and luxuriously appointed, with large baths and separate walk in showers. Occupancy: up to 2 adults and 2 children. Dogs are not permitted in these rooms.
Best located in The Main House:
These fabulous, large rooms in the Main House have high ceilings, south-west facing windows and enormous balconies, boasting stunning views over the Tamar Valley. The en-suite bathrooms are generous and luxurious, with his and hers wash basins, large baths and separate walk-in showers. Occupancy: up to 2 adults and 1 child. Dogs are not permitted in these rooms.
All rooms feature: Vispring beds; tea/coffee making facilities; fresh milk for coffee/tea; flat screen TV; bathrobes; alarm clock; direct dial telephone. All rooms can be made up with double or twin beds, and single extra beds or baby cots are available for most rooms.
