Among the sprawling dunes of the Erg Chebi desert of Morocco is a family-owned traditional Kasbah serving as a welcoming riad name Riad Madu. The name of the riad stems from the meaning of “madu” signifying respect; respect for nature, culture, and family. Riad Madu boasts hues of ochre and handcrafted furniture. There are multiple spaces of reunion such as the outdoor swimming pool centered among the rooms and with a terrace and lounge chairs surrounding it. There are also many lounging nooks with plush linens and pillows and a lovely dining area.

There are a total of 18 spaces of rest in Riad Madu consisting of ten rooms and eight suites all of which are completely decorated with natural materials and traditional hues of the region. They are spacious and elegant to encourage a peaceful stay.

Riad Madu is situated in the village of Merzouga making it a strategic place to explore the its culture and traditions. The riad itself offers multiple excursions such as camel tours and quad tours within the Sahara Desert, and it offers activities such as yoga classes and picnic baskets.

Riad Madu’s 18 rooms and suites all offer an excellent means of enriching oneself in the culture of Merzouga. All rooms and suites feature full private bathrooms, toiletries, hairdryer, air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi, and minibar.

Double Rooms: The double rooms are 30 sqm in size with either a double bed or two twins. They feature plush pillows and tiled floors with views of the pool and courtyard plus a lounging area.
Triple Rooms: The triple rooms are ideal for up to three guests with a double bed or two twins plus a single bed. The room is tiled with many artworks from the region.
Suite: The suites are 42 sqm in size with a private balcony and outdoor seating area looking over the pool and courtyard. They also feature a coffee machine and spacious bathroom plus a lounge area.
Family Suite: The family suites accommodate up to three guests with a king bed and a sofa bed or a twin bed. There is a lounge area and a spacious bathroom all in 41 sqm.
