Brazil occupies over half of the total surface area of South America and shares borders with ten countries. In a land of such proportions, it is hardly surprising that Brazil has a wealth of natural sights: the Iguaçu Falls, the wetlands of the Pantanal, the mines of Mato Grosso and, of course, the Amazon Rainforest, the largest tropical forest in the world, are just a few examples.
Most Brazilians live on the Atlantic coast and this is reflected in our selection of small luxury hotels. Our boutique hotels in Brazil can be found in Rio de Janeiro, Fortaleza, Natal, Salvador de Bahía y Porto Alegre.

Salvador de Bahía is a vibrant, colourful city that combines Portuguese architecture with the African soul of the people. The historical centre of the city, the Pelourinho, in now a World Heritage Site with historical monuments that were built by settlers in the 17th Century.
In the northwest, around Fortaleza and Recife, are some of the prettiest beaches in the country, while Rio de Janeiro is a city that makes an immediate impression surrounded as it is by sea and vertiginous granite mountains. The cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf comes highly recommended for unforgettable views of the city. |
