After a long and eventful history, the house was purchased by its present owners at the end of the 20th century, and underwent a seven million dollar renovation process. A historic monument in itself, Wentworth Mansion is ideal for relaxing stays in this fascinating waterfront city. Within easy walking distance from many of Charleston's most important landmarks and attractions, including the French Quarter, The Old Slave Mart Museum, the cathedral, or the Waterfront Park, Wentworth Mansion is also perfect for visiting such historic sites as Fort Sumter, the Middleton Plantation, or the Nathanial Russell House.
