Built in 1907 as an exclusive Alpine hotel by Camillo Kronich, this charming historic property was lovingly renovated and restored in 2011, and now offers luxury boutique accommodation and award winning cuisine in an authentic Alpine atmosphere.Located just one hour from Vienna and Graz, the Knappenhof is the perfect destination for a relaxing getaway. Here, visitors can recharge their batteries with great views of the unique environment, while soaking up the sunshine on the terrace. Winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy skiing at Rax and Spital am Semmering, and in summer, guests can choose from guided hikes, mountain biking, climbing adventures, Nordic walking, white-water kayaking. The restaurant at Knappenhof, led by award-winning chef Dieter Ecker, is the proud holder of fourteen Gault-Millau points and one toque, and offers inventive, delicate cuisine based on top quality produce from farmers in the region. Guests can also take advantage of the newly inaugurated wellness area, which features a steam room, a sauna and a spacious relaxation area.
