Villa Oldenhoff, Abcoude
|Voetangelweg 9, 1391HJ, Abcoude, Utrecht, NETHERLANDS.|
Description: Villa OldenhoffVilla Oldenhoff is a charming property, located on the site of a historic Dutch farm, dating as far back as the 16th century. After a long and eventful ownership by several generations of the same family, the house was entirely rebuilt in 2010, and now offers boutique bed and breakfast accommodation in an idyllic rural setting.
Villa Oldenhoff is ideally situated for enjoying the charms of Amsterdam, but without the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Standing on the banks of the River Holendrecht, guests can also enjoy boat and canoe trips on the river, or leisurely rides along an extensive network of cycle lanes surrounding the house. The Botshol nature reserve is just a short bike trip away, and offers a fascinating insight into flor and fauna of the region. On request, guests can use the house's private launch to explore the canals of Amsterdam. The nearest village, Abcoude, has direct buses and trains to the city centre.
Breakfast at Villa Oldenhoff can be enjoyed in the breakfast room, or served in guests' rooms. When the weather is fine, breakfast is also offered in the patio garden. In spite of its rural setting, guests will find countless excellent cafés, restaurants and other dining options just minutes from Villa Oldenhoff, many just a short walk or bike ride from the house.
