Description: Château des Briottières

Listed as an UNESCO world heritage site and situated in Anjou, only two and a half hours from Paris, the Château lies within 50 hectares of beautiful landscaped grounds. Located north of Angers between the Loire Valley and Normandy, it is a very good base to visit all the rest of France.

Enjoy the company of a very nice family in a welcome, relaxed atmosphere in this authentic French chateau, still lived in by the same family for more than 150 years. Huge parkland, swimming pool, calm and quiet. Enjoy fine wines and very good gastronomic diners by candlelight. Les Briottières offers ten charming bedrooms in the Château and six additional bedrooms in the Orangerie. You can even sleep in the bedroom used by Emma Thompson during the filming of "Impromptu".

Excellent for short breaks or longer stays, François and Hedwige de Valbray can advise you on the best outings and walks in the surrounding area.

Rooms are located on the first floor of the Château some have balconies and all are individually decorated and feature some beautiful antiques.

On site: bicycles (free), French billiards, table tennis, badminton, children's games, archery. Outdoor swimming pool, 12 m x 6 m, heated from 15th May to 30th September. Hot air ballooning from the castle grounds available on request (200 Euro per person per hour). Pony Club in the grounds from 15 July to 15 August. Explore the 50-hectare landscaped gardens, with their hundred-year-old trees.

The Orangerie, covering 190 m2, and its 67 m2 terrace, are available for all prestige events (weddings, seminars, business meetings, conferences, exhibitions...) and can be used together with the Château. Another room, the Ecuries: 100 m2, is included in the hire price.

Booking and cancellation policy

To guarantee your booking a cheque (euros drawn on a French account) or credit card (Number, expiry date, security code) to cover the deposit.

Deposit:
For a short stay (3 nights or less) the deposit is equal to 1 night.
For a stay of more than 3 nights we require 30% of the cost of your stay.

Cancellation:
If more than 30 days prior arrival the deposit will be reimbursed less an administrative charge of 32 euro.
21 days to 30 Days prior arrival reimbursement of 50% of the deposit.
4 Days to 21 Days prior arrival the deposit is forfeit in the event of a partial cancellation of the booking.
Between 4 and 21 Days prior arrival 50% of the price of the cancelled room is forfeit.
Less than 4 days prior arrival the full price of the rooms are due.
Cancellations are only valid if notified in writing (email, fax, mail).
